My name is Kayden Anderson, and I am a senior at the University of Oklahoma, pursuing an honors degree in journalism with a minor in digital marketing. I have always loved writing and have known I wanted to go into this field since my junior year of high school. I am from Vian, Oklahoma, a rural eastern Oklahoma community, which has inspired much of my interest and passion for people’s stories.

“Living the dream. Telling a story.” is inspired by my biggest inspiration, my father. When someone asks my dad how he is, he always replies, “living the dream.” Any day that I can write and make others’ voices heard is a day that I am living the dream. I aspire to continue making this goal a reality after my graduation in May. I hope to further my education through a master’s degree in journalism or obtain a fellowship or a full-time position in a newsroom.
